The Need

Philips Respironics was evaluating ways to streamline communication between doctors, patients, suppliers of medical devices, and other healthcare professionals involved in the training and monitoring of patients with prescribed devices. The goal was to reduce costs, while also providing a more convenient solution for their partners, patients, and healthcare professionals.

The Solution

Philips Respironics contracted THRIVE to develop a custom software solution based on our concept of “Micro-Experiences” that could assist with the distribution and initial training of medical devices once a patient had been prescribed, as well as ongoing monitoring of device usage and patient satisfaction.

As soon as a patient is prescribed a medical device, their information is uploaded into the system. Upon delivery of the device, the patient receives Micro-Experiences that walk them through the set-up and use of the device.

Their healthcare professionals then have real-time access to the data provided by patients, allowing them to intervene as needed, responding to questions and concerns.
